It may seem counterintuitive but our soft toothbrush can get your teeth cleaner than a toothbrushes with harder bristles. Studies have shown that soft toothbrushes with tapered-tip bristles do better job cleaning your teeth than medium/hard toothbrushes and they do less damage. For that reason, most dentists recommend choosing a toothbrush with soft bristles over one that is hard, or even medium.

You can find here an official study done by ADA (American Dental Association) that demonstrated that a soft toothbrush with tapered-tip bristles like ours provided a significantly greater reduction in supragingival plaque after a single tooth brushing, as well as after six and 12 weeks of twice-daily use, compared to the ADA Toothbrush.
Yes, children should use a toothbrush with soft bristles over hard ones. The soft bristle provides a thorough clean, but one that isn’t tough on the gum, avoiding wear and tear on sensitive areas as children’s teeth continue to develop.

In our efforts to evolve and enhance the common soft toothbrush, we’ve designed our brush heads with a greater density of bristles to last 2 times longer than the standard soft toothbrush — so you can get a solid 3–4 months use out of them.

According to the American Dental Association, no commercial products can sterilize a toothbrush and it's not necessary. The ADA notes, "There is insufficient clinical evidence to support that bacterial growth on toothbrushes will lead to specific adverse oral or systemic health effects."

Bacteria tends to grow in dark, warm and moist places. Keeping your toothbrush covered or stored in a closed container might lead to problems. Let your toothbrush air dry in a holder that allows it to stand up without touching the bristles or other toothbrushes. Replacing your toothbrush every three-to-four months is also important. Avoid sharing toothbrushes as well.

Keeping it Clean

While the ADA notes there is no clinical evidence that soaking a toothbrush in antibacterial mouthwash has a positive effect, it won't damage your toothbrush. If you want to sanitize, toothbrush heads should be immersed for about 15 minutes in mouthwash. Any longer could damage the bristles. And don't share or reuse that mouthwash, it defeats the purpose.

One of the most important features to look for in a toothbrush to be used with braces is soft, flexible bristles. Soft bristles bend more easily around the hardware of braces. This allows the brush to reach behind the wires and around all of the nooks and crannies of the braces more easily. Our brushes made with nylon as this is a good material out of which to make soft yet stiff bristles. So yes, our toothbrushes are the best for braces.
